Re: What happened?
Antonio won't be right back next season.

For some reason Bilic is keeping Byram off, I'd trust that decision as he might not be a right back naturally and maybe Antonio's physicality helps get round the fact he ain't. That said he was poor today, got rinsed.

I reckon a big name right back will come in, we haven't had one at the club for ages so it would do all the youngsters and players who play there well. Hopefully it'll happen.

Expect to see Antonio at RB Tuesday, but I think Sakho starts over Moses (who can fuck off) and we'll see the sort of fluid formation we played against the Ys.

Re: What happened?
Sorry Moses was fucking shit, and I was pleased he was playing said so on the match thread.

They took us apart on our right, other teams will do the same if we persist with that set up,

Typical West Ham...sums it up.

Re: What happened?
I'd agree with that ajc, I'd rank Ys at home as more important than that.

Re: What happened?
Some people develop a certain perception of particular players, and no matter what happens, those players get slagged off when things don't go well.
The general performance was rubbish, Moses was less rubbish than the other players in the first half. That's all there is to it.

Anyway, at least Sunderland won, so the day wasn't a complete write off.

That was never in a million years our 'biggest game of the season'. If you think that you are clearly a complete twat.

SLAV not Sav. Cunt phone.

Re: What happened?
Probably for the best. We've overachieved on all fronts based on last season's utter SHIT.

Cannot knock this season at all, we've only had a couple of them performances versus 10 plus of them last year.

In Sav we trust, think he's identified a few attitudes to arrow out; Sakho and Song for two so if he gets backing we'll do well next year.

Top 8 would be good for me. We'll be above Leicester, that is a FACTITY FACT.

For the second time in a month we bottled our biggest game of the season, the West Ham way?

Johnson 2:05 Sun May 8
Re: What happened?
It was ultimately typical West Ham, expected to win, get turned over. Hopefully that's out the system and they're fired for Tuesday.

We're not ready for Champions League yet anyway.

Good to see you earlier, Ex.

Your tinfoil hat obviously slipped over your eyes, ron.

Or this is just shit bait for a fishing trip.

Either way, I've wasted enough effort bothering with you.

Re: What happened?
UP front we provided far less options than Swansea City and not enough width.

Poor defending and maybe an element of 'they're just there for the taking'

Early on it did actually look like that and an early goal would've seen a whole different score line and game, but as soon as they weathered it and got their first goal, we didn't have enough to answer their set up and the unexpected confidence throughout that they were showing,

Re: What happened?
WORST performance of the season I reckon. Worse than Ys away.

Ronald_antly 1:49 Sun May 8

Fuck me I always thought you were just misunderstood on here. You thought Moses was our best player? He was a lazy waste of space and I can't believe he stayed on after half time.

Antonio fucked up for at least one of their goals but the bloke isn't a right back, you can always count on him to put 100% effort in and that's why people are more lenient with him.

Ronald_antly 1:49 Sun May 8
Re: What happened?
I see Moses is getting slagged off whilst Antonio gets absolved of any blame.

Moses was our best player in the first half (although that's not saying much), and Antonio looked like he couldn't be bothered in the lead up to their third.

Bilic's substitutions were fucked up. He hooks Moses, thus removing the only strength we were showing up the middle, when he should have taken off Lanzini, who was offering nothing.

They must have had a fucking good drink the other night, because most of them looked hungover.

Spot on. Said to my brother before the game today that I wouldn't put a fucking penny on us to win today. Every single time West Ham are ever expected to win a game handy we fuck it up and get beaten.

Been happening for decades, why should it stop now

Re: What happened?
At one point we went 3-5-2 and Antonio pushed up into a more advanced role, skinned their left back a couple of times, looked very dangerous and then got pushed back when emineke came on, just showed to me that he must be played in an advanced role. He just makes things happen.

Re: What happened?
There were even occasions where Antonio overlapped Moses only for the cross to find Carroll strolling up ten yards away.

Jasnik 11:48 Sat May 7
Re: What happened?
To me it looked like Antonio was playing the right side on his own.

No idea where Moses was during the 60 mins he was on.

BBC graphic on the live feed showed Antonio's average position for the 1st half. Ahead of our midfield.

That suggest to me he is at least partly to blame. Fine if you are put in a position you are not good at and you screw up, of course the manager is to blame, but clearly Antonio can play there but has opted to desert his post more than he should.
